MIDWEST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to sales strategy and ensures attainment of company sales goals and  profitability in the Midwest Region.
• Travel as necessary for field visits with Brokers and to assess trends, identify opportunities, and increase brand awareness and presence in natural health foods channel.
• Conducts monthly  one-on-one review with all Midwest Regional Brokers to build effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for the   improvement of Brokers’ and direct reps sales activity and performance.
• Broadens distribution into all natural retailers.
• Develop and use objective tools, information (i.e. SPINS, WF Portal) to plan effective and appropriate account activity.
• Assist Brokers in preparation of proposals/presentations.
• Provides timely feedback on performance and other initiative updates.
• Coordinate business activities so they are fully aligned with company activities and objectives.
• Controls expenses to meet company guidelines.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• MUST HAVE  3+ yrs of significant Regional Manager sales leadership experience in the Whole Body and/or Natural Living departments of the natural channel.
• MUST be able to multi-task in a fast paced growth company.
• Analytical skills to see voids and opportunities to effectively support company growth objectives  with all retailers.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

Responsibilities:

• Generate invoices and credit memos on a daily basis. Review sales orders for errors related to missing item fulfillments, missing or incorrect shipping charges, etc. Mail, email or submit to the   appropriate location.
• Assist in receivables review and collection as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain records of customer A/P contacts in ERP system. Review bounced emails and correct as they occur.
• Review open shipments and orders on a daily basis. Work with shipping and sales to ensure all orders are fulfilled and invoiced in a timely manner.
• Work with supervisor to research and submit returns/shortages/MCB deduction disputes. Maintain a record of these transactions.
• Enter new and outstanding payables on a daily basis. Work with purchasing when discrepancies between PO's and invoices arise.
• Try to identify/resolve before handing off to purchasing.
• Enter installment bills and rent monthly.
• Independent contractor invoices should be entered prior to payroll dates (15th and the last day of the month).
• Ensure vendor accounts are set up correctly.
• Remit-to address, terms and W-9/Tax IDs.
• Submit non-PO invoices to purchasers for approval in a timely manner and follow up as needed.
• Track use purchases that have not been taxed on the invoice, but are subject to California use tax on quarterly
• Review vendor statements and request copies of any missing invoices.
• Match remittance stubs to invoices paid on a weekly basis, file and put checks into envelopes.
• File sales order and shipping documentation.
• Help to maintain customer and vendor files of applications, contracts, and other important documentation on the server and in the ERP system.|
• Assist with projects as directed by supervisors.
• Look for opportunities to stream-line processes.
• Convert paper documents to paperless wherever possible.
• Review vendor and customer documentation and tax status. Collect missing documents and correct tax status where needed.
• Improve AP-entry process to expedite month-end close.

Requirements:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in accounting or closely related field.
• Two years accounting-related experience.
• Experience maintaining accounting and bookkeeping records.
• History of both A/P and A/R work.|
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency typing and with computers. Experienced and knowledgeable Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word user. Strong data-entry/10-key skills.
• Knowledge and familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.

MAINTENANCE TECH

Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot and fix equipment, to eliminate downtime and maintain safety.
• Training on new equipment for production and sanitation departments.
• Ongoing training on equipment set up and safety.
• Order parts and coordinate repairs in a timely manner.
• Be able to communicate with outside tech departments, like Grainger & McMaster Carr.
• Follow & ensure compliance on all Safety procedures including chemical & material handling, Material Safety Data Sheet instructions, Code of Safe Practices, LOTO, and all safety programs.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working order.
• Schedule & ensure ongoing preventative maintenance programs, logs, and inspections.
• Help maintain parts inventory and an organized manuals database.
• Help keep maintenance department clean and organized.
• Be conscious of and follow all quality control/quality assurance procedures.
• Work with lab and production personnel as required & necessary.

Requirements:

• Technical Degree or related experience plus 2 years experience
• Available to work AM shift 5AM-1:30PM
• Proven experience in the application of Good Manufacturing Practices & OSHA standards
• An independent, organized self-starter & team player who can assess needs and deliver results
• Amazing attention to detail
• Forklift experience preferred
• Spanish language skills a plus

QUALITY CONTROL LEAD

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain QC procedures, specifications and testing methods for each raw material, bulk product & finished good.
• Manage daily activities of QC Inspectors.
• Enforce current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) throughout manufacturing.
• Perform release testing, complete batch record and issue appropriate stickers or labels to batches based on batch record.
• Manage the microbiological testing of finished goods and required raw materials.
• Responsible to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the QC lab.
• Strive to improve the quality of the products and process.
• Document all pertinent information concerning bad or rejected raw materials and finished products.  Quarantine all related product.
• Maintain equipment in good working order. 
• Keep records of maintenance and schedule regular calibration tests as required.
• Selects proper QC equipment and performs verification as necessary.
• Understand and support the SWTC employee manual, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Must wear appropriate protective gear when working with Essential Oil products, oils, creams, powders or any other related materials containing dusts or strong odors or as mandated on the   Material Safety Data Sheet and communicate necessary information to staff.
• Must use back support belt when lifting or moving any boxed or drums >25 lbs.  No lifting over 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must report to supervisor any unsafe or hazardous condition
• Perform other reasonable tasks and projects as directed by Management.

Requirements: 

• A college degree in Chemistry, Biology or Science.
• 1-5 years of experience working in QC laboratory.
• Available to work Monday – Friday 8AM - 4:30PM
• Intermediate computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Prefer cosmetic or food experience.
• Knowledge of ISO & cGMP in a cosmetic/food environment preferred.

COMPOUNDING TECH

Responsibilities:

• Mix, blend, cook, pump, and perform all tasks related to completing all required batches following batch record and job order schedule.
• Understand and follow all Job Orders to obtain daily production goals.
• Ensure previously weighed materials are accurate.
• Perform all tasks as required to maintain accurate inventories.
• Be conscious of and follow all quality control/quality assurance procedures.  Communicate concerns, issues, and anomalies with the QC department.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping on batch records, log books and other documentation as required including measurements, temperatures, and specifications.
• Follow proper handling and storage of all goods.  Hazardous materials must be properly labeled and stored and used with appropriate equipment and PPEs.
• Precise pre-weigh of compounding batches, accurate recording of weights & lot number information.
• Assemble and disassemble any related equipment including pumps, fittings, blenders, hoses, etc.  Assist in proper sanitation needs when possible.
• Be conscious of and follow all quality control/quality assurance procedures.
• Seeks out innovations leading to improved accuracy, reduction of inefficiencies.
• Follow all Safety procedures including chemical handling, Material Safety Data Sheet instructions, use of personal safety equipment and other as instructed
• Maintain area sanitation and cleanliness at all times. Follow all sanitation operating procedures.
• Follow safe material handling procedures including moving pallets, drums, cases and other bulk handling

Requirements:

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Available to work 1:30PM-10PM (M-F)
• Proven experience in the application of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Prefer a background in cosmetics, or in chemical compounding, an industrial kitchen, steam kettles or related experience.
• An independent, organized self-starter & team player who can assess needs and deliver results.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, & database entry.
• Proficient in weights & measures.
• Amazing attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift experience preferred.
