PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We're looking for an organized self-starter to manage the definition, development, and implementation of new products for EO and Everyone Brands. Lead a process with Sales and the  Product teams (R&D, Brand Strategy, Design) to strategically develop the right Product with the highest Quality, in the most appropriate Packaging, targeted for the best Placement, at the most appropriate Price. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate product development projects – new sku launches, category updates, and web/marketing initiatives.
• Manage project budgets and prepare financial analysis for review.
• Source and negotiate pricing on packaging.
• Continuously research and evaluate new packaging materials and designs.
• Work with packaging suppliers, raw material suppliers, and production line/automation engineers to evaluate current materials/processes and explore areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with R & D to develop the highest quality products through beta testing – internal and external.
• Coordinate with R & D to run stability studies, coordinate submissions, and schedule pilot batches.
• Manage data related to individual parts and Bills of Materials in the ERP system.
• Monitor and understand industry developments, regulations and identify new product opportunities.
• Monitor lifecycle of new product launches and existing products and work with Brand Strategy to ensure product success.

Requirements:

• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in managing the development of consumer product goods, CPG, preferably in health & beauty.
• Proven expertise in vendor relations and negotiation.
• A passion for the cosmetic/personal care/natural industry.
• The ability to manage & drive a project from conception to completion.
• Project Management Certification a plus.
• An understanding of the science behind the products.
• Proficient use of project management tools including Microsoft Office.
• Incredible communication skills.

MIDWEST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to sales strategy and ensures attainment of company sales goals and  profitability in the Midwest Region.
• Travel as necessary for field visits with Brokers and to assess trends, identify opportunities, and increase brand awareness and presence in natural health foods channel.
• Conducts monthly  one-on-one review with all Midwest Regional Brokers to build effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for the   improvement of Brokers’ and direct reps sales activity and performance.
• Broadens distribution into all natural retailers.
• Develop and use objective tools, information (i.e. SPINS, WF Portal) to plan effective and appropriate account activity.
• Assist Brokers in preparation of proposals/presentations.
• Provides timely feedback on performance and other initiative updates.
• Coordinate business activities so they are fully aligned with company activities and objectives.
• Controls expenses to meet company guidelines.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• MUST HAVE  3+ yrs of significant Regional Manager sales leadership experience in the Whole Body and/or Natural Living departments of the natural channel.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Key Responsibilities:

• Accomplish manufacturing staff results by planning, monitoring, communicating job expectations and appraising job results; counseling, disciplining and coaching employees; coordinating,   initiating and enforcing systems, procedures and policies
• Maintain work flow by setting process variables, monitoring steps of the process; observing equipment and control points, studying methods
• Facilitate corrections to malfunctions, implementing cost reductions; initiating and developing a spirit of cooperation between and within departments
• Ensure adequate staffing scheduling to meet needed results. Evaluate, interview and hire for approved personnel.
• Educate and direct employees on the use of equipment, tasks, safe practices and resources available.
• Enforce the practice of 5S throughout production area.
• Manage Production supplies by utilizing Kanban.
• Follow good manufacturing processes, and all standard operating procedures.
• Perform regular quality inspections in all steps of production, and in the production lines to maintain overall product quality, and to minimize rejects.
• Responsible for the cleanliness, organization and safety of the production area.
• Develop needed or requested policies and procedures.
• Review inventory schedule and perform daily, accurate inventory counts, record and make appropriate corrections.

Requirements:

• 3 + years' experience in management in a manufacturing environment
• Available to work afternoon shift 1:30PM-10PM
• Working team member who can foster a collaborative and positive work environment with a hands-on approach.
• Experience with managing processes, leading process improvement, 5S and Kanban
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with acute attention to detail
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• A demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, manage complex workload and handle pressure in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision (while simultaneously maintaining a   sense of humor) is essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software

MAINTENANCE TECH

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and fix equipment, to eliminate downtime and maintain safety.
• Training on new equipment for production and sanitation departments.
• Ongoing training on equipment set up and safety.
• Order parts and coordinate repairs in a timely manner.
• Be able to communicate with outside tech departments, like Grainger & McMaster Carr.
• Follow & ensure compliance on all Safety procedures including chemical & material handling, Material Safety Data Sheet instructions, Code of Safe Practices, LOTO, and all safety programs.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working order.
• Schedule & ensure ongoing preventative maintenance programs, logs, and inspections.
• Help maintain parts inventory and an organized manuals database.
• Help keep maintenance department clean and organized.
• Be conscious of and follow all quality control/quality assurance procedures.
• Work with lab and production personnel as required & necessary.

Requirements:

• Technical Degree or related experience plus 2 years experience
• Available to work AM shift 5AM-1:30PM
• Proven experience in the application of Good Manufacturing Practices & OSHA standards
• An independent, organized self-starter & team player who can assess needs and deliver results
• Amazing attention to detail
• Forklift experience preferred
• Spanish language skills a plus

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Responsibilities:

Coordinate product development projects

• Source and negotiate pricing on packaging.
• Work with R&D to coordinate stability and compatibility of packaging components and formulas.
• Capture all the specifications for new products, communicate and manage in database.

• At least one of year of related work experience in product development, vendor relations or budgeting.

COMPOUNDING TECH

Responsibilities:

• Mix, blend, cook, pump, and perform all tasks related to completing all required batches following batch record and job order schedule.
• Understand and follow all Job Orders to obtain daily production goals.
• Ensure previously weighed materials are accurate.
• Perform all tasks as required to maintain accurate inventories.
• Be conscious of and follow all quality control/quality assurance procedures.  Communicate concerns, issues, and anomalies with the QC department.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping on batch records, log books and other documentation as required including measurements, temperatures, and specifications.
• Follow proper handling and storage of all goods.  Hazardous materials must be properly labeled and stored and used with appropriate equipment and PPEs.
• Precise pre-weigh of compounding batches, accurate recording of weights & lot number information.
• Assemble and disassemble any related equipment including pumps, fittings, blenders, hoses, etc.  Assist in proper sanitation needs when possible.
• Be conscious of and follow all quality control/quality assurance procedures.
• Seeks out innovations leading to improved accuracy, reduction of inefficiencies.
• Follow all Safety procedures including chemical handling, Material Safety Data Sheet instructions, use of personal safety equipment and other as instructed
• Maintain area sanitation and cleanliness at all times. Follow all sanitation operating procedures.
• Follow safe material handling procedures including moving pallets, drums, cases and other bulk handling

Requirements:

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Available to work 1:30PM-10PM (M-F)
• Proven experience in the application of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Prefer a background in cosmetics, or in chemical compounding, an industrial kitchen, steam kettles or related experience.
• An independent, organized self-starter & team player who can assess needs and deliver results.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, & database entry.
• Proficient in weights & measures.
• Amazing attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

PRODUCTION LEAD

We are seeking a pro-active individual to assist the Production Supervisor in ensuring production quality control standards, and quantity expectations are met. We are also seeking an individual who will provide training & enforcement of cGMP and OTC practices.

Responsibilities:

• Training of staff on equipment, SOPs, safety and processes.
• Measuring performance of equipment and employees, identifying & eliminating waste.
• Ensure production is performed with the highest quality.
• Updating Run Rate Boards, manage the kitting of components for manufacturing runs.
• Set Up & Break Down of kitting activities.
• Assist the Production Supervisor in launching and enforcing CGMP/OTC practices.
• Coverage for Production Supervisor as needed.
• Will carry out ERP transactions related to inventory location look-up, inventory location movements, and job closures.
• In conjunction with Shipping Department, coordinate the movement of FG from production area to QC Hold locations in the warehouse.
• In conjunction with Compounding Department, coordinate the movement of finished bulk from compounding to production floor locations.
• Fill in on assembly line as needed, use filler and fill at a rate of a minimum of 80% of the product capacity.
• Cap bottles, checking product for quality. Packaging and taping cases creating a professional looking case.
• Fill salt bags, and seal salt bags resulting in a correct fill weight.
• Label tubes ensuring labels are evenly applied and are straight.
• Use coder machine, and check to make sure code is legible.
• Follow good manufacturing processes, and all standard operating procedures.
• Perform regular quality inspections in all steps of production, and in the production lines to maintain overall product quality, and to minimize rejects.
• Maintain and clean equipment appropriately. Care must be taken to ensure foreign organisms are not introduced to finished products. Dispose of empty boxes or trash.
• Must report to your supervisor any unsafe or hazardous condition.
• Personal protective equipment (gloves, masks or goggles) must be worn for certain products as mandated by the Material Safety Data Sheet (such as powders or essential oils).
• Must lift carefully using legs, and more than 50 pounds should be assisted by another employee.
• Spills must be cleaned up immediately.
• Perform other reasonable tasks and projects as directed by manager.

Requirements:

• Bi-lingual in Spanish, conversational in English.
• Must be available from 1:30 pm -- 10 pm (M-F).
• Great with people/customer service skills - supervision experience a plus but not required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
• Takes initiative with bringing equipment problems or needs, safety concerns, supply needs to manager's attention.
