MACHINE OPERATOR - PM SHIFT

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for proper set up of bottle/tube filling lines in accordance to the production plan.\Travel as necessary for field visits with Brokers and to assess trends, 
• Troubleshoot and minor repair equipment, to eliminate downtime and maintain safety
• Minimize setup time and working with production team to continuously improve throughput
• Training on new equipment for production supervisors and leads
• Ongoing training on equipment set up, safety, and proper sanitation
• Communicate to maintenance department for the need of parts replacement or coordinate repairs in a timely manner.  Be able to communicate with outside tech departments, as needed

• Ensure ongoing preventative maintenance programs, logs, and inspections.

Minimum Qualification:

• Technical and repair experience

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Key Responsibilities:

• Accomplish manufacturing staff results by planning, monitoring, communicating job expectations and appraising job results; counseling, disciplining and coaching employees; coordinating,   initiating and enforcing systems, procedures and policies
• Maintain work flow by setting process variables, monitoring steps of the process; observing equipment and control points, studying methods

Requirements:

• 3 + years' experience in management in a manufacturing environment

• Working team member who can foster a collaborative and positive work environment with a hands-on approach.
• Experience with managing processes, leading process improvement, 5S and Kanban
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with acute attention to detail

MAINTENANCE TECH

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and fix equipment, to eliminate downtime and maintain safety.

COMPOUNDING TECH

Responsibilities:

• Mix, blend, cook, pump, and perform all tasks related to completing all required batches following batch record and job order schedule.
• Understand and follow all Job Orders to obtain daily production goals.
• Ensure previously weighed materials are accurate.
• Perform all tasks as required to maintain accurate inventories.
• Be conscious of and follow all quality control/quality assurance procedures.  Communicate concerns, issues, and anomalies with the QC department.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping on batch records, log books and other documentation as required including measurements, temperatures, and specifications.
• Follow proper handling and storage of all goods.  Hazardous materials must be properly labeled and stored and used with appropriate equipment and PPEs.
• Precise pre-weigh of compounding batches, accurate recording of weights & lot number information.
• Assemble and disassemble any related equipment including pumps, fittings, blenders, hoses, etc.  Assist in proper sanitation needs when possible.
• Be conscious of and follow all quality control/quality assurance procedures.
• Seeks out innovations leading to improved accuracy, reduction of inefficiencies.
• Follow all Safety procedures including chemical handling, Material Safety Data Sheet instructions, use of personal safety equipment and other as instructed
• Maintain area sanitation and cleanliness at all times. Follow all sanitation operating procedures.
• Follow safe material handling procedures including moving pallets, drums, cases and other bulk handling

Requirements:

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

• Proven experience in the application of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Prefer a background in cosmetics, or in chemical compounding, an industrial kitchen, steam kettles or related experience.

PRODUCTION LEAD

We are seeking a pro-active individual to assist the Production Supervisor in ensuring production quality control standards, and quantity expectations are met. We are also seeking an individual who will provide training & enforcement of cGMP and OTC practices.

Responsibilities:

• Training of staff on equipment, SOPs, safety and processes.
• Measuring performance of equipment and employees, identifying & eliminating waste.
• Ensure production is performed with the highest quality.
• Updating Run Rate Boards, manage the kitting of components for manufacturing runs.
• Set Up & Break Down of kitting activities.
• Assist the Production Supervisor in launching and enforcing CGMP/OTC practices.
• Coverage for Production Supervisor as needed.
• Will carry out ERP transactions related to inventory location look-up, inventory location movements, and job closures.
• In conjunction with Shipping Department, coordinate the movement of FG from production area to QC Hold locations in the warehouse.
• In conjunction with Compounding Department, coordinate the movement of finished bulk from compounding to production floor locations.
• Fill in on assembly line as needed, use filler and fill at a rate of a minimum of 80% of the product capacity.
• Cap bottles, checking product for quality. Packaging and taping cases creating a professional looking case.
• Fill salt bags, and seal salt bags resulting in a correct fill weight.
• Label tubes ensuring labels are evenly applied and are straight.
• Use coder machine, and check to make sure code is legible.
• Follow good manufacturing processes, and all standard operating procedures.
• Perform regular quality inspections in all steps of production, and in the production lines to maintain overall product quality, and to minimize rejects.
• Maintain and clean equipment appropriately. Care must be taken to ensure foreign organisms are not introduced to finished products. Dispose of empty boxes or trash.
• Must report to your supervisor any unsafe or hazardous condition.
• Personal protective equipment (gloves, masks or goggles) must be worn for certain products as mandated by the Material Safety Data Sheet (such as powders or essential oils).
• Must lift carefully using legs, and more than 50 pounds should be assisted by another employee.
• Spills must be cleaned up immediately.
• Perform other reasonable tasks and projects as directed by manager.

Requirements:

• Bi-lingual in Spanish, conversational in English.
• Must be available from 1:30 pm -- 10 pm (M-F).
• Great with people/customer service skills - supervision experience a plus but not required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
• Takes initiative with bringing equipment problems or needs, safety concerns, supply needs to manager's attention.

PRODUCTION PLANNER

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule production orders effectively to meet customer order requirements.
• Maintain minimum FG stock levels, while meeting fill rate and inventory
• Build and maintain a knowledge base of manufacturing constraints in our multi-process manufacturing environment, and manage the production plan accordingly
• Work closely with Purchasing to understand the RM replenishment cycle and advise of upcoming Manufacturing plans that will influence supply requirements.
• Review and plan against sales forecast. Give feedback to sales regarding historical seasonal requirements, upcoming OOS and other issues relating to customer order fulfillment.
• Monitor material inventories, request cycle counts or incoming receipt count audits as necessary.
• Track progress of Manufacturing and update job schedule accordingly.
• Be aware of Manufacturing Capacity and work closely with Manufacturing to review and adjust the schedule based upon performance variables.
• Support new product launch activities in a cross-departmental capacity.
• Understand and support BOM revision control.
• Manage and support projects as directed by department manager.
• Edit item master information to ensure accuracy of MRP functionality.
• Adjust schedule to meet changing variables (customer demand), sales forecasting accuracy shortfall and last-minute business opportunity drops/adds.

Requirements:

• 5+ years related experience
• cGMP experience a plus
• APICS certification a plus
• Proficient use of Excel & MS Office|
• Proficient use of ERP systems; NetSuite a plus
• Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints (TOC) and/or 5S.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Responsibilities:

• Support & lead the strategic growth plan for purchasing, scheduling manufacturing activities, material requirements planning, supplier relationship management, and managing inventory levels.
• Manage, supervise & train staff.
Purchase products competitively, maintaining ideal inventory levels while meeting or exceeding COGS and inventory investment goals.
• Manage the entire purchasing cycle, including RFQ generation, creation of purchase orders, annual supply agreements, and receipt of goods.
• Monitor supplier performance in both delivery and quality of goods and provide feedback to suppliers and internal stakeholders.  Create and maintain a vendor scorecard system.
• Ensure an uninterrupted flow of incoming raw materials while meeting inventory turn goals.  .

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and understanding of the following idealogies: Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints (TOC), 5S, TAKT time, Lean manufacturing, Lean inventory, Kanban, visual management systems.
• Master user-level knowledge of major ERP/MRP systems (Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, related professional experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience, and prefer supervisory experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Suite skill set, with heavy emphasis on Excel.

DISTRIBUTION & WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR

Work closely with Department Manager and Supervisors to complete support tasks related to Logistics and Warehouse operations. QC SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain QC procedures, specifications, and testing methods for each raw material, bulk product, and finished good.
• Manage the microbiological testing of finished goods and required raw materials.
• Input data into spreadsheets or database programs.  Responsible for maintaining the OTC annual product review record.
• Select proper QC requirement and perform verification as necessary.
• Compare finished products to standards to ensure items meet specifications.
• Handle customer complaint on products and maintain customer complaint log.
• Responsible for compounding bulk testing and adjustment. Complete batch record and issue appropriate stickers/labels to Compounding according to the batch record.
• Responsible for incoming components and label sampling and inspection.
• Responsible for evaluating expired raw materials and update new expiry date in system.
• Sample, inspect, test and compare incoming raw materials against standard.
• Ensure test results are within specifications.
• Enforce current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) throughout manufacturing.
• Responsible to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the QC lab.
• Prepare and sent out DI water and finished samples to 3rd party labs for micro and assay testing.
• Maintain equipment in good working order.
• Responsible for Production line audit and OTC Production run approval.  Compare finished product to standard to ensure products meet specifications.
• Print out OTC packaging batch records and check out adequate amount of OTC labels for Production.
• Planned inspections of scaled raw materials and compounding process for accuracy in Compounding.
• Conduct environment and sanitation checks.
• Perform other reasonable tasks and projects as directed by Management. 

Qualifications:

• College degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field
• 1-5 years of experience working in QC laboratory
• Intermediate computer skills including Word and Excel
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Oral and written communication skills
• Prefer cosmetic, food or pharmaceutical experience
• Knowledge of ISO & cGMP in a cosmetic/food/pharmaceutical environment preferred
