Community Engagement

EO® is a collaborative group of passionate people who share a common vision. At EO we believe that our work in the world is not simply about financial gain as a business entity, but rather about a real partnership with our world.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our Community Engagement program reflects our ongoing commitment to a business rooted in the belief that everything in our world is connected. Aromatherapy creates positivity for the human spirit, and we believe all people can benefit from the uplifting attributes of essential oils.

Over the years, we’ve been proud to donate our life-affirming products to hundreds of nonprofits, schools, likeminded companies, and local events. Our priority is to develop long-standing partnerships with organizations and groups in our community. We believe in nurturing and honoring the relationships we create, and have found that the best partnerships are ongoing and strengthen over time.

Thanks for taking the time to learn about the philosophy behind our community partners program. If you’d like to partner with EO please fill out the below form.

OUR PARTNERS

The primary focus of our Community Engagement efforts is through donations of bulk soap to transitional housing facilities and shelters in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is our firm belief that access to soap and water is a basic human right, and for some people a hot shower with great smelling soap can make a profound difference in the quality of day-to-day life. We regularly hear stories about the scent of our lavender soap having a positive, soothing aromatherapeutic impact on the people who use it, especially at shelters and transitional housing facilities where stress can run high.

Some of our current transitional housing and shelter nonprofit partners include:

 Homeward Bound of Marin Logo

HOMEWARD BOUND

We’ve partnered with Homeward Bound of Marin for nearly a decade by providing ongoing donations of product for their housing centers. Homeward Bound is Marin County’s chief provider of shelter and residential services for homeless families and individuals. It serves approximately 1,300 people per year and has built an admirable record of success with 88% of families and 84% of adults completing Homeward Bound programs moving on to stable housing.

 Delancey Street San Francisco Logo

DELANCEY STREET

For many years EO has been regularly donating soap to Delancey Street’s impressive San Francisco facility. Delancey Street is the country's leading residential self-help organization for former substance abusers, ex-convicts, homeless and others who have hit bottom. At any given time there are hundreds of residents at the facility, who stay for a minimum of two years while they receive a high school equivalency degree and are taught to develop positive marketable strengths.

 Gubbio Project Logo

GUBBIO PROJECT

We began a partnership with San Francisco-based Gubbio Project in early 2014. The Gubbio Project operates out of St. Boniface Church in the Tenderloin Neighborhood, where much of the city's homeless population gathers. Each weekday the Project opens the doors of the church for nearly 100 homeless people to come inside and rest in a quiet and safe space. Gubbio Project also offers restroom facilities and hosts a weekly free breakfast.

Hospitality House San Francisco

HOSPITALITY HOUSE

Hospitality House has been an important part of the San Francisco community for nearly fifty years. It has multiple diverse facilities and programs that strive to tackle the root causes of homelessness. Hospitality House helps people with housing assistance, mental and physical health services, and employment resources. They also have an amazing community arts program.

We believe everything in our world is interconnected. With that mindset, EO also supports a number of health and environmental nonprofits through product donations.

Some of our long-term health and environmental nonprofit partners include:

Turning Green

TURNING GREEN

We’ve partnered with Turning Green (formerly known as Teens Turning Green) for nearly a decade. This amazing nonprofit encourages young adults to adopt a socially and environmentally conscious lifestyle. Turning Green’s programs are student-led and are devoted to education and advocacy around environmentally sustainable and socially responsible choices. We support Turning Green in a variety of ways, including donating products to their annual College Road Tour, which stops at college campuses throughout the U.S. and interacts with students.

Why Foundation

THE WHY? FOUNDATION

Our friend Allison W. Gryphon founded The Why? Foundation in 2011 after her battle with stage 3a breast cancer. The Why? Foundation offers a network of support to cancer fighters and their families, and helps connect patients with resources and a community of supportive individuals. Allison used many EO Products during her cancer treatment and has become a huge advocate for healthy products and the role they play in cancer prevention and during treatment.

 Eslaen Institute Big Sur, California

ESLAEN INSTITUTE

Esalen is located in Big Sur, California and is a renowned alternative educational center devoted to the exploration of the human potential and personal and social transformation. It offers hundreds of workshops each year covering a wide variety of subjects, including visual arts, bodywork and massage, psychology, relationships, spirituality workshops, health, and integral practices. You’ll find EO products throughout the center.

 Sustainable Sports Foundation

SUSTAINABLE SPORTS FOUNDATION

We’ve supported the Marin-based Sustainable Sports Foundation for a number of years through product donations to their annual athletic events. The Sustainable Sports Foundation organizes events including half marathons, triathalons, and more, all with a goal of supporting a healthy lifestyle, and encouraging the values of sustainability and community.
