PRODUCT HACK: LAVENDER BODY OIL
Our EO® Lavender Body Oil is popular for its smoothing and soothing effect on skin.
One of our favorite product hacks is using a body oil as a bath oil. Just add a few drops to your hot bath. Soaking in a bath with bath oils allows your skin extra time to absorb the benefits of the oils.
Another use for any body oil is as a hair serum. Just place one or two drops in the palm of your hand and smooth onto the ends of your hair to help with split ends. A drop smoothed onto the crown of your head will help with flyaways.
Body oils can also be used on our cuticles to prevent splitting and cracking. Just soak your fingertips in a small bowl of hot water with soothing oils and finish by massaging in several drops of oil.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. How do the EO lotions differ from the EO body oil?
A. Lotions contain oils, water and emulsifiers, which allow moisture to penetrate the skin easily. Oils are occlusive, which means they lock in moisture to prevent loss of hydration from the skin.
Q. Which should I use – oil or lotion?
A. Whether you use oil or lotion (or both) is a matter of personal preference. It can also depend on your skin type and the climate. If you naturally have oily skin, body oil is not ideal.
